LAKEPORT— On Friday, the Konocti Women’s Service Club (KWSC) delivered 81 backpacks to the Lakeport Elementary School to help with their school backpack drive. Schad Schweitzer, Student and Family Advocate of the Lakeport Unified School District organized the backpack fundraiser for the students.
The KWSC is a nonprofit organization whose motto is “For Kid’s Sake” and has helped many of the Lake County schools each year with school supply donations as well as scholarships for graduating high school students.
