

ASTI — Clear Lake High School’s Hannah Garrity won the girls race and finished third overall Wednesday afternoon during a North Central League I cross country race on the 3.0-mile Treasury Winery Estate course in Asti, just south of Cloverdale.

Cloverdale hosted the meet and Roseland University Prep of Santa Rosa also was in attendance along with Clear Lake’s only two runners, Garrity and Lilianna Cruz, both juniors.
Girls
Garrity finished in 22 minutes, 31 seconds, more than four minutes ahead of runner-up Tylie Hatcher (26:35) of Cloverdale. Amelia Doyle (28:50) of Cloverdale came in third while Cruz (31:09) was fourth. RUP’s Natalie Ruiz (39:46) rounded out the top five.
There were no complete girls teams (at least five runners).
Boys
Logan Glasson of Cloverdale won the boys race at 19:57 while RUP’s Alexis Trejo (21:24) was the runner-up. Other top-five finishers were Juanes Rios (22:42) of RUP and Cloverdale’s Alesel Carpizo (25:27) and Jordan Huls (25:40).
All nine of Cloverdale’s runners were competing as junior varsity boys while RUP had the only complete varsity team.
