ST. HELENA — St. Helena hosted Clear Lake and Willits for a three-team North Central League I cross country race Wednesday afternoon at the 3-mile Bothe State Park course.
St. Helena’s boys and girls had the only complete teams (at least five runners) in the field. Clear Lake’s only participants were Hannah Garrity, who won the girls race, and teammate Lilianna Cruz.
Boys
Cleo McClain of St. Helena won the boys race in 17 minutes, 53 seconds. The Saints placed eight runners in the top 10.
Girls
Garrity’s winning time of 20:11 in the girls race was more than five minutes faster than runner-up Tilly Dodd (25:20) of St. Helena. Cruz placed eighth overall in the 13-runner field at 30:05.
