UPPER LAKE — The Upper Lake Wildcats beat the Mountain Vista Lancers 25-18, 25-17 in A-team middle school volleyball action last week in Upper Lake.
“We played the ball well as a team, but our missed serves were hard points to gain back,” Mountain Vista coach Sara Hanson said. “We will see them one more time in the end-of-season league tournament at Upper Lake in two weeks. Hopefully we will have our full lineup back. We’ve been missing two and three key players our last couple games. We have two home games to get through this week, then will work hard for the tournament.”
Mountain Vista’s B team beat Upper Lake 25-21, 15-25, 18-16 behind solid play from Brooklyn Young, Gabby Keyes and Kaia Bohan.
“They played hard tonight, wanted it and it showed,” Hanson said. “ We had awesome serves from Bella Boyles and Olivia Arredondo.”
