Mendocino College (15-5) travels to Taft College (16-9) for a Northern California Regional first-round volleyball playoff match Saturday at 1 p.m. The winner advances to the second round on Tuesday, sites and times to be announced. The Eagles are coached by Katherine Escobedo, a former Upper Lake High School standout athlete. Escobedo also doubles as the Mendocino College women’s basketball head coach.
