MIDDLETOWN — Konocti Middle School’s B girls basketball team held off Middletown Middle School 35-33 in the season opener for both squads Monday in Middletown.
Olivia Paul led the Rams (1-0) with 18 points and six rebounds while Jazzy John added six points and three rebounds.
Middletown cut a 10-point deficit to just two coming down the stretch.
Konocti hosts Lucerne on Wednesday at the Lower Lake High School gym.
