MAXWELL — Robert Rosin’s 24 points and Darian Loans Arrow’s 22 points powered the Upper Lake High School varsity boys basketball team to a 73-21 win over CORE Butte of Chico on Friday night during second-round play in the Maxwell Tournament.
The Cougars put this one away early, outscoring CORE Butte 21-8 in the first quarter and 49-13 in the first half.
Johnny Gozony came off the bench to score 10 points for the Cougars while junior varsity call-up Connor Vogel added nine points in his varsity debut.
Upper Lake hit five 3-pointers, including two by Loans Arrow.
