WILLITS — The Gladiator Wrestling Club of Lake County visited Willits on Saturday for its second tournament of the season and 14 wrestlers walked away with first-place finishes.

A total of 40 Gladiator wrestlers brought home a lot of hardware.

“I was very impressed with all our kids on Saturday,” coach Peter Stephan said. “Although we have a large number of beginner wrestlers, they have adapted quickly. Their coachability and willingness to learn was awesome to see. I am beyond proud of each and every one of them on the wrestling mat.”:

First-place finishes went to Maverick Paminto, Colin Harrison, Brantley Paminto, Madilyn Martinez, Nevaeh Baracio, Jordan Ortega, Joseph Szupello, Djoser Williams, Hayden Janssen, Zamod Jackson, Logun Whittle, Tabius Indalecio, Ayden Santiago and Zander Colburn.

Seconds went to Hector Barocio, Anastasia Garcia, Angel Barajas, Hannah Oweis, Branson Whittle, Dean Conine, Matthew Chew, Brayden Paminto, Deshawn Mills, Joseph Tibbets, Tyler Thorstenson and Benjamin Reiger.

Third-place finishes went to Brian Cosigua, Josilynn Conine, Kaulin Drake, Aiden Santiago, Juan Lopez, Gabriel Garcia, Riley Givens and Crystal Pepper.

Fourths went to Olivia Bolin, Koltin Drake, Sebastian James, Maurice Bolin, Laylony Barocio and Jacklyn Gudino.

The Gladiators return to action Jan. 15 at the Mountain Clash in Concord.
