Lake County Community Development Director to speak at Sierra Club Lake group’s community meeting
The Sierra Club Lake Group will host recently appointed Lake County Community Development Director, Mireya Turner, at their next community meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at 6 P.M. The discussion will be held via Zoom video conference and live-streamed on Facebook. The meeting is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required to attend via Zoom.

She was appointed by the Lake County Board of Supervisors as interim director and then shortly after as permanent director in August, 2022. A long time resident of Lake County, Mireya has worked and served in numerous positions that are relevant to community development and planning, including serving on the Lakeport City Council. She has worked in planning for the City of Ukiah and Lake County and holds a Masters in Public Administration with a focus on Organizational Leadership.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to explore ways to collaborate to ensure that healthy ecosystems and outdoor recreation are included as essential parts of community planning and development,” noted Sierra Club Lake Group Treasurer and Conservation Chair, Victoria Brandon.
