LOWER LAKE — Kaimel Connolly scored 16 points and Logan Case added 10 on Wednesday as the Konocti Middle School B boys basketball team beat Lucerne 57-22 in a league game at Lower Lake High School.

Aidan Osorio and Jaydan Freeman finished with eight points apiece as the Rams squared their league record at 1-1.

Konocti returns to action Monday against Mountain Vista Middle School in Kelseyville at 4 p.m. The A game follows.

Boys

Terrace 40, Mountain Vista 33 (B)

At Kelseyville, Terrace Middle School beat Mountain Vista 40-33 in B team boys action as JD Smart led the way with 11 points followed by Nolan Buffalo with seven points and seven rebounds and Gael Moreno with seven points.

Terrace improved to 1-1 in league and 3-1 overall.

“It was a great bounceback win after a tough loss,” Terrace coach Jeremy Hopkins said. “We still have a lot to clean up. We built a 15-point halftime lead and let them back to within four points in the third quarter with a bunch of turnovers and fouls. Moreno sparked up with his energy and scoring to help us recover and push our lead back up.”

Girls

Terrace 16, Konocti 12 (B)

Konocti 27, Terrace 20 (A)

At Lakeport, in a low-scoring defensive battle, the Terrace Middle School Vikings beat the Konocti Rams in a B girls game.

“We couldn’t get our offense going,” Konocti head coach Luis Perez said. “Our defense was pretty good.”

Terrace’s 7-2 third quarter was the differnce in the game.

Juliza Sevilla scored four points for the Rams and Olivia Paul had three.

Konocti is now 6-2 in league play.

In the A game, Konocti defeated Terrace 27-20 behind eight points from Aly Aguirre and six apiece from Maddy Garnter and Irianna Milano.

Konocti hosts Upper Lake on Friday at Lower Lake High School. The B game tips off at 4:30 p.m. with the A game to follow.
