LAKEPORT — Brody Shields scored 12 points and Adrian Negrete added nine as the Konocti Middle School A boys basketball team beat the Terrace Middle School Vikings 51-26 on Wednesday night in Lakeport.
Konocti is now 1-2 on the season. The Rams host Middletown Middle School on Jan. 31 at Lower Lake High School. B-game action begins at 4:30 p.m. with the A game to follow.
In the B game between the two schools earlier Wednesday, Terrace rolled to a 55-28 victory behind 18 points and five steals from JD Smart and a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds from Joey Portlock.
“Most complete game of the year for us,” Terrace coach Jeremy Hopkins said. “JD was all over the place getting steals and hitting 3s, and Joey was gobbling up rebounds like Pac-Man does dots.”
Other Terrace standouts were Noah Cleaver on defense and Kingston Hoaglen off the bench. Hoaglen contributed four points and seven rebounds.
Terrace is now 3-1 in league and 6-1 overall.
