LAKEPORT —3 Joey Portlock and Nolan Buffalo had double-doubles for the Terrace Middle School B boys basketball team in a hard-fought 40-38 win over the Mountain Vista B squad on Tuesday night in Lakeport.

Portlock finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds while Buffalo contributed 10 points as well as a team-high 21 rebounds and three blocks.

“Mountain Vista came out and was taking it to us,” Terrace coach Jeremy Hopkins said. “We really had to grind it out. It was a gut-check game and while we didn’t play as well as we can, it was a good win. Joey and Nolan were the different in the game. Their rebounding was huge.”

Hopkins also praised the play of reserves Braden Ruzicka and Mano Garcia.

“They came off the bench and their energy and defense were a big spark,” Hopkins said.
