LOWER LAKE — Middletown Middle School’s boys basketball teams registered league wins Monday against Konocti at Lower Lake High School.

Middletown’s A team improved to 5-1 with a hard-fought 38-34 win over Konocti as EJ Rose and Valentin Jimenez scored nine points apiece.

In the B game, Middletown prevailed 44-23 behind 13 points from Brock Taylor and seven apiece from Joey Pinola and Johnny Finney. Middletown is 7-1 in league action.

Both Middletown teams were on the road Tuesday against Mountain Vista Middle School of Kelseyville.

Terrace B 54, Lucerne B 10

At Lakeport, Terrace Middle School’s B boys basketball team found the range on a half-dozen 3-pointers while beating Lucerne. Eric Chavez led the way with nine points and five rebounds.

Joey Portlock, Nolan Buffalo and Gael Moreno added eight points apiece.

“We controlled the game with our defense and hit six 3-pointers on the night,” Terrace coach Jeremy Hopkins said. “It was a great team win as all but one player scored. A great game all around.”
