LOWER LAKE — Brody Shields scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Konocti Middle School A boys basketball team beat Terrace Middle School 53-24 on Thursday night at Lower Lake High School.
“He was all on tonight,” Konocti coach James Clark said of Shields, who helped the Rams build a 36-15 halftime lead.
Shields scored 18 points in the first half and played sparingly over the final two quarters.
Germaine Cephus added seven points.

Terrace B 43, Konocti B 25
At Lower Lake, JD Smart’s 13 points, five steals and four assists, and Nolan Buffalo’s eight points and five blocks carried the Terrarce B team past Konocti.
“It was a good win where we came out early with our defense and got some easy layups to jump out to a 20-4 lead,” Terrace coach Jeremy Hopkins said. “JD played great and really took control when we needed him the most. Buffalo controlled the paint with his shot blocking.”
Hopkins also praised the play of Jaxon Fiske and Mano Garcia.
Middletown A 41, Upper Lake A 13
At Upper Lake, EJ Rose finished with 11 points and Harrison Brown added nine more to lead Middletown to a win over Upper Lake. The Broncos improved to 6-2 with their victory.
Middletown B 48, Upper Lake B 14
At Upper Lake, Donovan Clark’s 11 points helped Middletown’s B team improve to 9-1 on the season. Jett Berry had eight points.
