Warming Center to open tonight in Middletown

Lower Lake Town Hall Warming Center likewise Open 7 pm to 7 a.m.

LAKE COUNTY— Due to significant snowfall, life-threatening temperatures and other challenges presented by recent compounding winter weather events, the County of Lake will be opening an additional Warming Center at the Middletown Senior Center, 21256 Washington St., Middletown, 95451.

This location will be open 7pm to 7 am today (Monday, February 27), and tomorrow (Tuesday, February 28).

The County of Lake will also continue providing a Warming Center at Lower Lake Town Hall

located at 16195 Main Street, Lower Lake.  The Lower Lake Warming Center will open during evening hours today, (Monday, February 27), and Tuesday, February 28.

At both locations, visitors must register, and no pets, weapons, alcohol, or drugs are allowed.

The hours of operation are 7 p.m. to 7am (unless weather remains hazardous at 7 am).

Sunrise Special Services at Former Juvenile Hall Facility in Lakeport

Sunrise Special Services at 1111 Whalen Way in Lakeport likewise remains open 24 hours at this time due to severe winter weather. That Lake County Behavioral Health Services-funded facility is providing shelter to individuals experiencing homelessness, and they can be directly reached at 707-349-5022.
