UPPER LAKE — A tough season for the Upper Lake High School varsity boys basketball team yielded just one All-League selection as the All-North Central League II squad was recently selected by the league’s coaches.

Upper Lake, 5-9 in the NCL II standings and 9-16 overall, was represented on this year’s team by junior Robert Rosin, who received All-League second-team honors.

League co-champions Sonoma Academy (13-1) and Credo (13-1) dominated the All-League selections. Co-MVPs were senior Peyton Stroud of Sonoma Academy and senior Sebatian Leuschen of Credo.

Of the five players honored on the All-League first team, four were from Sonoma Academy or Credo. The only exception was Calistoga senior Jose Perez. Also honored were Sonoma Academy’s Logan Castro, a junior, and sophomore Matteo Zanin, and Credo’s Isador Shalev, a senior, and sophomore Lucian Condon.

Sonoma Academy and Credo each had five All-League selections in all followed by Calistoga with three, Technology and Roseland Collegiate Prep with two each, and Upper Lake, Tomales and Victory Christian with one apiece.
