KELSEYVILLE — Mountain Vista beat Middletown 14-4 in middle school softball action Wednesday afternoon in Kelseyville.
Winning pitcher Vanessa Reyes struck out six while throwing a complete game. She received plenty of offensive support from her teammates, including catcher Gemma Lewis, who went 2-for-3 with a triple.
“Today we brought the bats, everybody in the lineup put the ball in play,” Mountain Vista head coach Hugh Lewis said.
Besides Gemma Lewis, Josie Keithly went 2-for-2 and Grace Hobbs 2-for-3 for Mountain Vista. Gabby Keyes also walked three times.
