COBB — Dom Williams continues his run of good golf for the Middletown Mustangs on Thursday afternoon. Williams fired the low round for the second time this week in a 321-345 Coastal Mountain Conference South win over the St. Helena Saints at Adams Springs Golf Course on Cobb Mountain.
Technology finished third with 383 and Kelseyville had 456 on the par-68 Adams Springs course. Middletown has won all five South matches this season and is 15-0 to St. Helena’s 10-5 in the conference standings.

“Dom Williams is playing some really good golf right now,” Middletown head coach Todd Williams said. “He’s playing with a lot of confidence right now and swinging his clubs well.”
Williams, the medalist on Tuesday during Middletown’s win at Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma, fired a 78 on Thursday to edge out teammates Blake Costlow (79) and Bodhi Moore (80).
Williams, Costlow and Moore had the low three rounds. St. Helena’s Micah Meraz-Ha was next with 83, Middletown’s Jackson Conley had 84, and Technology’s Sebastian Maurice finished with 85. Low for Kelseyville was Julian Armas with 102.
“This was a much tougher course than we expected,” Williams said. “The course was wet and slippery and the greens were tough to read.”
“It was a little bit of a windy day and the course was set up kind of tough,” Kelseyville assistant head coach John Berry said of the lack of birdies.
Middletown’s Costlow had the lone birdie.
“Once again my freshman Blake Costlow followed up with a round of 79,” Williams said. “This kid hits the ball a mile and once he dials in his putting he will a force to be reckoned with.”
Berry said he was pleased with the pace of play as the golfers completed their 18-hole round in four hours.
The CMC South returns to action next Thursday at Chardonnay Golf Club in Napa.
