CLEARLAKE OAKS — Leanna Ortega went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and Heidi Ortega went 3-for-3 with a RBI and scored three times Thursday as the Konocti Rams beat Eagle Peak of Ukiah 17-7 at Clearlake Oaks.
The game was called after four innings.
“Our defense played good and our bats were there too,” Konocti head coach Luis Perez said as the Rams improved to 5-3.
Leanna Ortega hit an inside-the-park home run to left field in the bottom of the third inning and scored without a throw. Olivia Paul had the team’s other extra-base hit, a standup triple.
Irianna Milano and Brooklyn Tubbs both went 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Milano also had a RBI. Maddy Garner went 1-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored.
Konocti hosts Upper Lake on Monday. First pitch is 4:30 p.m. at East Lake Elementary School.
