HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — Middletown High School’s tennis team won its second Coastal Mountain Conference match in two days, beating the Cloverdale Eagles 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon at the Hidden Valley Lake courts.
Nadav Dicovski won 6-4, 6-1 in first singles for the Mustangs while teammate Hannah Ryan prevailed 6-1, 6-1 in third singles.
Middletown’s third win came in first doubles where Will Hoskins and Seth Watson went the distance with the same Cloverdale team that beat them in three sets earlier this season in Cloverdale. Hoskins-Watson split the first two sets, winning 6-4 and losing 3-6. The two teams agreed to play a first-team-to-10-points tiebreaker, Hoskins-Watson coming out on top 10-3.
In other matches, Middletown’s Calista Hoskins fell 6-1, 6-2 in second singles while the Mustangs’ second doubles team of Maddie Hansen and Anthony Lopez played a single pro set with their Cloverdale opponents with daylight running out and lost 8-6.
Middletown beat Willits 3-2 on Monday in Willits.
The Mustangs are 4-5 on the season.
