LAKEPORT — Heidi Ortega went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and scored three times as Konocti beat Terrace 17-3 in middle school softball action on Saturday in Lakeport.
Grace Reyes also went 3-for-3 for the Rams (7-3), including a standup triple and a RBI.
Winning pitcher Aly Aguirre struck out seven and allowed three hits in the five-inning game. She received plenty of offensive support from her teammates, including Leanna Ortega (2-for-3, two runs), Maddy Garner (2-for-3, RBI) and Irianna Milano (1-for-3, two runs).
“Overall the defense played good,” Konocti head coach Luis Perez said.
Terrace statistics were not reported.
