CLEARLAKE OAKS — Irianna Milano went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple while teammate Leanna Ortega hit a solo home run Wednesday afternoon as Konocti beat Terrace of Lakeport 13-3 in middle school softball action at East Lake Elementary School in Clearlake Oaks.

It was the final home game of the season for the Rams (7-1), who close out their regular-season schedule Thursday against Mountain Vista Middle School in Kelseyville. The Lake County Junior High Athletic League championship tournament follows May 4-6 at Middletown High School.

“Overall our bats were there and our defense was good,” Konocti head coach Luis Perez said of the Rams’ final home game. “We’re starting to play like the team I thought we could be at the beginning of the season.”

Winning pitcher Aly Aguirre allowed just three hits and struck out six. She was supported by a Rams offense that collected four extra-base hits, two of them by Irianna Milano (2-for-3), who doubled and tripled. Leanna Ortega added a solo home run while Kierstyn Lambert tripled.

Other Konocti leaders were Heidi Ortega (2-for-3, RBI) and Olivia Paul (1-for-1, RBI).

Perez also praised the play of shortstop Eden Sparks, who caught three line drives in the top of the first inning.

Terrace statistics were not reported.
