CLOVIS — Two Middletown girls are headed to the Vegas Tuffest Jr. World Rodeo Championships after competing in a qualifier Saturday in Clovis.

Riding her horse Bo, Hayden Smith, a first-grader at Coyote Valley Elementary in Hidden Valley Lake, won the 12-and-under barrel racing division and also finished first among all age groups to stamp her ticket to the Vegas Tuffest Jr. World Championships on Dec. 6-10 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas.

Joining her will be Jadyn Owens, a seventh-grader at Middletown Middle School. Owens won the 12-and-under goat tying division and placed second in the 12-and-under barrel racing division to earn a trip to Las Vegas in December.
