LOWER LAKE — Edwin Castellanos scored goals in each half and he also had an assist Thursday afternoon as the Konocti Rams advanced to the Lake County Junior High Athletic League championship game with a 5-2 win over the Terrace Vikings in middle school co-ed soccer action at Lower Lake High School.
Konocti took a 2-1 lead into halftime on the strength of goals by Castellanos and Samuel Santana. In the second half, Logan Case and Adrian Guzman sandwiched goals around Castallanos’ second score of the game. Castellanos assisted on Case’s goal, Case assisted on Castellanos’ goal, and Daniel Fernandez assisted on Guzman’s goal.
The win moves Konocti into the championship match against Mountain Vista Middle School of Kelseyville on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Kelseyville High School.
