COBB— Mandala Springs Wellness Retreat Center held the High Vibe Fest festival encompassing a broad variety of music artists, as well as live comedy and workshops May 4 through 8 at their location at Bottle Rock Road. The mission of High Vibe Fest was to foster a sense of “community within the movement to affect positive change, by supporting the new wave of conscious event culture.” It was promoted as an all-ages, substance-free event.
The open-air stage and expansive grounds of Mandala Springs provided the festival with a nature-focused and easily navigated environment. The entire valley was filled to capacity with tents and RVs, and nearly all of Mandala Spring’s accommodations were fully booked. Attendance was estimated to have been 1300, including overnight guests. Glamping yurts made their return to Mandala’s accommodation offerings.
High Vibe Fest had a celebratory atmosphere and was not diminished, according to festival-goers, by the light rain showers during the first portion. Workshops on ‘sound healing’, ‘authentic relating’, ‘transformative breathwork’ and ‘acroyoga therapy’, plus many others were offered. The food booths offered vegan faire and healthy drinks such as kombucha.
Equanimous, aka Nate Stein, one of the High Vibe Fest producers, is a well-known DJ and multi-instrumentalist. Ayla Nereo was another headliner; a singer, composer, producer, and dancer from the mountains of eastern California. High Vibe Fest expects to return next year to Mandala Springs Wellness Retreat Center.
Mandala Springs Wellness Retreat Center is on the former site of Jellystone Campgrounds. Their accommodations, situated on 200 acres, include cottages and lodges, rustic cabins, yurts, and RV and tent sites. The land has a long history as a health-focused destination. Mandala Springs has been hosting wellness retreats, festivals, weddings, and corporate and family gatherings since its inception in 2018. Mandala Springs is a subsidiary of Mandala Earth Publishing and Insight Editions Publishing, both based in San Rafael, CA.
