

LAKE COUNTY — Undefeated league champion St. Helena dominated the selections as the All-North Central League I softball team was recently selected by the league’s coaches.
The Saints went 14-0 in league play before going on to claim the North Coast Section Division 5 championship. They landed seven players on the All-League team, including co-most valuable players Aribella Farrell and Sofia Cupp, both seniors, and first-team selections Skylar Freutel, a senior, and sophomore Blythe Brakesman.
League runner-up Fort Bragg (11-3) had five players honored followed by third-place finisher Cloverdale (10-4) with four. Clear Lake and Kelseyville tied for fourth place in the league standings at 7-7 and both teams had three players honored as did seventh-place Lower Lake (3-11). Sixth-place Middletown (5-9) had two All-Leaguers.
First team

Besides St. Helena’s Freutel and Brakesman, other first-team selections were Clear Lake High School junior shortstop Amber Smart, Lower Lake High School first baseman Rebecca Theodorou and Kelseyville High School outfielder Kat Wheelan, the only freshman to receive first-team honors.
Other first-teamers were Fort Bragg ace Cassiti Baroni and teammate Stella Ellis, both seniors, and Cloverdale shortstop Tylie Hatcher, a junior, and sophomore pitcher Charlotte Burchett.
Second team
Lake County players landing on the All-League second team were Clear Lake senior center fielder Sierra Bruch, Kelseyville junior pitcher Jayden Paulich, Lower Lake senior pitcher Keeley Parks and Middletown junior infielder Breanna Pyzer.

Other second-team selections were senior Linnea Cupp of St. Helena, sophomore Tahlia Smith of St. Helena, senior Kailee Thompson of Fort Bragg, senior Rylee Reasoner of Cloverdale, and senior Kenna Thom of Willits.
Honorable mentions
Among the honorable mentions were Lake County’s Grace Gomez, a senior second baseman, Kelseyville freshman outfielder Morgan Rogers, Middletown senior catcher/outfielder Carina Fleenor and Lower Lake junior infielder Marriah Perez.
Other honorable mentions went to St. Helena freshman Olive Filippini, Fort Bragg senior Maddie Triplett, Fort Bragg junior Nikki Namvar, Cloverdale sophomore Cami Donahoo, and Willits freshman Lisa Arkelian.
