Gaming earbuds have become more popular as more players see their smartphones as a gaming device. Companies have been jumping on the trend with HyperX being the latest to join the fray with its Cirro Buds Pro earbuds.

The $79.99 device, which launched Monday, is comparable to the Apple Airpods. It features up to 35 hours of battery life when combined with the power from the charging case. The earbuds themselves are rated to last up to 7 hours. That actually outlasts other competitors.

The Cirro features 8mm dynamic drivers and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. Beyond the home, players can use it on the go because of it has IPX4 water-resistant rating. One of the bigger features is that it has hybrid active noise cancelling (ANC) technology, so that users can focus on the sound from the 8mm dynamic drivers.

If players don’t want to use ANC, they can opt for an ambient sound mode so that outside noise can filter into the experience. That’s good if you need to be aware of your surroundings while gaming. Speaking of that, it also has a low-latency audio connectivity if you’re playing games such as “Genshin Impact” on your phone.

Sadly, it doesn’t appear that the Cirro will have console support other than those that natively support Bluetooth. It appears like it could be a good device for Switch gaming though latency could be an issue.

At the very least, the Cirro could be a good way to talk to friends if you’re class platform gaming and need to use an app such Discord to coordinate with others.
