LAKEPORT — The Fourth of July weekend offers a full racing card Saturday night at the Lakeport Speedway as West Coast mini-modifieds, bombers, Legends and modifieds take to the quarter-mile paved oval located at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport.

Pits open at 1 p.m. with hot laps (two sets in each division) taking place between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. There are also four-lap trophy dashes and 10-lap heat races scheduled before the main events begin at 7 p.m.

A fireworks show follows once the night’s racing is concluded.

Grandstands open at 5 p.m. Admission prices are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and military personnel and $12 for children ages 4-12. Children younger than 4 get in free.

Thanks to the added sponsorship of T&A Automotive, the modified main event winner will receive $2,000.

Future racing dates are July 15 (modifieds, bombers, Pro-4 modifieds and Late Models, boat races) and July 22 (Legends, bombers, Pro-4 modifieds and bandoleros). The North State Modified Series also appears on July 22, the first visit by the touring group of modifieds, which features several Lake County drivers, since 2017.

Other racing dates on the 2023 season schedule are Aug. 12, Aug. 19, Sept. 16 and Sept. 29-30.
