Lake County Record-Bee sports editor Brian Sumpter is retiring after 39 years on the job, his final day being July 28. His time at the newspaper was celebrated Saturday during a retirement party in Lakeport where he posed with a few of the athletes, both current and past, he’s covered during his career.
