Race No. 4 of the North State Modified Series’ 10th season tour returns to Shasta Speedway in Anderson, California on Saturday. The Twyman Plumbing feature event will run 60 laps. Defending Champion and current points leader Scott Winters of Tracy has won the three previous NSMS races at Redwood Acres Raceway, Shasta Speedway and Lakeport Speedway.

Challenging Winters this weekend will be second place points runner Ian Elliott of Lakeport and Sal Martinez of Kelseyville, currently third in NSMS points.

The current NSMS track record on Shasta’s one-third paved oval is 15.952 seconds held by Darrin Sullivan of Kelseyville. Sullivan set this fast lap on Oct. 9, 2021 on Hoosier tires.

Other classes running will be the Shasta Legends, Bombers and Hornets. Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. with O’Reilly Auto Parts qualifying at 5:30 and racing at 7 pm.

The North State Modified Series would not be possible without the support of Sunoco Race Fuels, Racer Bling, Mark & Sharon Baldwin, Doyce Eaton, Scribner Plastics, McMurray & Sons Roofing, Frank’s Radios and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.
