LAKE COUNTY— The Lake County Fair is in full swing. This years’ theme is “Lighting Up the Lake County Fair”. Countless vendors, entertainers and organizations have been preparing for this event all year, finally ready to share their hand-crafted goods and delicious fair foods with the community.

On Thursday things geared up with preliminary FFA and 4H groups as they competed with their animals for placement before the auction planned for this afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday are the only full days of the fair and Saturday activities include the auction at noon and finishing with the boat races in the Grandstand at 7 p.m. Sunday will include the FFA and 4H awards ceremony at 5 p.m. and the Jaripeo (Mexican Rodeo) beginning at 8 p.m.

A first this year at the Lake County Fair is the inclusion of Cannabis, with local Lucerne dispensary Highway operating a booth and delivery sale system similar to the system modeled by the California State Fair in Sacramento this past July.
