“We started off every game strong but once Clear Lake went on a couple of point runs we had a hard time coming back,” said Lower Lake coach Amanda Daly following Thursday’s match. “I don’t think the girls realize that they have the skills to make a comeback from a few points. We are a very different team than last year, we just need to learn to be confident in our skills. We have been focusing on becoming a team unit and it is really starting to show. Molly Sherman was a standout player tonight with 3 aces and 9 digs.”

Following their intense effort on Tuesday against the Cardinals, the Middletown Varsity Girls’ team in three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-8 and 25-22 against the Kelseyville Knights Thursday.
The Mustangs did not have any stream in tonight’s match vs. Kelseyville. “We played flat and nothing like we did on Tuesday night,” said coach Vanessa Davis. Stat leaders for Thursday included senior Libero Bre Pyzer 9 digs and 18 service receptions, junior MB and Setter Mia Hoogendoorn 14 Digs, 5 kills, 6 assists, and 1 Block and sophomore Harley Holley who served for 6 points, 3 aces, 6 digs, 3 kills.
The Mustangs travel to the Livermore High School Tournament Saturday.

Camrin Pivniska 16 Kills 2 Aces, Quincy Paarsch 9 Kills 2 Aces, Kaylah Billig 6 Kills and Emily Gersalia had 31 assists. “Camrin had a good night at the net and played very smart the whole match. We are hoping to work on some things over the next two days when we travel up North for the Arcata tournament this weekend,” added Psalmonds.
