Cornel West for President of the United States

I served on the St. Helena Unified school board and I endorse Dr. Cornel West for president of the United States. He’s backed by Chris Hedges, Ralph Nader’s speech writer, Dr. Jill Stein and her 2016 running mate Ajamu Baraka.

He’ll guarantee free higher education, housing, and a living wage. I applaud his progressive public education agenda. Recently, I was homeless. Dr. West says that he’ll refuse to reside in the White House until everyone who wants it gets a home. To support his domestic vision he’ll tax Wall Street, end the wars, and invest the peace dividend.

He’ll tackle climate chaos by ending oil subsidies and shifting from extraction and emission to regenerative and renewable energy. He supports a Green New Deal which will create millions of union jobs to transition into a green economy. We’ve all seen wildfires, hurricanes, heat waves and coastal islands underwater, all a direct consequence of human industrial activity. I’m a millennial and deeply concerned about the climate crisis we’re leaving behind for younger generations.

America’s been a perilous corporate duopolistic dictatorship for decades. Dr. West says a vote for Trump or Biden is a choice between a neo-fascist catastrophe (second civil war) or a neoliberal disaster (third world war). Both lead to economic ruin and a dead planet. We must mount an anti-capitalist electoral revolt, predicated on peace and truth, against the Republican and Democratic Parties.

Paraphrasing Dr. West, justice is what love looks like in public and politics is like joining a band. Join the Green Party and get in government. Drop a bassline on the school board, beat the drums on the city council and strum the guitar on the board of supervisors. Riff on state legislatures and congress. We’ll make decentralized eco-socialist Green New Deals. Vote for Dr. Cornel West.

The other side of the story

I was shocked by your Guest Editorial of Wed. Sept. 20, 2023 accusing Florida Gov., Ron DeSantis, of “risking lives for political ambition.” I applaud DeSantis & his Surgeon General, Joseph Ladapo for advising people younger than 65 to NOT get the new COVID shot. It is obvious that the shots do not work–even the CDC acknowledged that the shots do not protect one from getting COVID, nor do they protect people from transmitting it! Among my acquaintances, those who got the shot/s had worse cases of COVID than those who did not get the shot.

I suggest that the Editorial Board who wrote this editorial get their heads out of the sand and read “The Real Anthony Fauci” by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who did meticulous research on the topic and did an impeccable job of documenting his findings. I also suggest that the Editorial Board “follow the money” and see who gained financially from creating and promoting the shots.

As for Fauci being a hero, I beg to differ! He gave terrible advice at the beginning of COVIC-19 telling people not to do or take anything until they had to be hospitalized.

Any Doctor worth his salt will tell you that the sooner you treat a virus, the faster you will heal. And to that point, Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine have been proven to work well in treating the COVID virus, but because there is no money to be made from those drugs, the public was lied to about their effectiveness. Fauci lied about their efficacy and instead pushed Remdesivir which has killed many people and had no clinical efficacy against COVID, according to every legitimate study.

Thank you for reading the other side of the story.
