Missing Person alert from LCSO
MISSING PERSON: Christopher Vetter, 22, Upper Lake, has been missing since Aug. 9, 2023.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office requests the community’s assistance in locating Christopher Vetter.
Christopher was last seen in Upper Lake in the early hours of Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023. Vetter is described as a white male adult, 5’9″, 120 pounds, thin build, brown medium-length hair, brown eyes, and unshaven facial hair. The accompanying photo is from March 2023.
Vetter has a medical condition and doesn’t have his medication. It is unlike him to be away from home, without contacting his family, for so long.
Deputies have been working closely with his family to gather information as to his whereabouts and following up on all available leads.

Service organization for youth allows for leadership skills development
The Interact Club at Clear Lake High School, under the dedicated guidance of Advisor Jenni Ingram, has been actively engaged in community service projects that have made a significant and positive impact on the Lakeport community. This dynamic group of young leaders, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Lakeport, led by Faith Hornby, youth director, is demonstrating their commitment to service and leadership.
Interact is a youth service organization sponsored by local Rotary Clubs, providing opportunities for students to develop leadership skills while giving back to their communities. The Clear Lake High School Interact Club has embraced this mission wholeheartedly, and their actions speak volumes about their dedication.
Ingram, the dedicated advisor of the Interact Club, expressed her pride in the students’ commitment to community service, saying, “It’s inspiring to see these young individuals coming together to make a difference in our community. Their enthusiasm and willingness to give back are truly commendable.”
Faith Hornby, the interact director of the Rotary Club of Lakeport, also praised the students, saying, “The Clear Lake High School Interact Club embodies the spirit of Rotary’s motto, ‘Service Above Self.’ They are making a lasting and positive impact on Lakeport, and we are proud to support their efforts.”
