LAKE COUNTY>>> A lot of excitement this week with a number of Lake County teams on the cusp of wrapping up their 2023-24 seasons. Earlier in the week on Tuesday, which was also the school’s Senior Night, the Lower Lake High School’s Boys soccer team, which has been dominant this season in league, clinched a North Central League I Championship after defeating Middletown 3-2. The Trojans, maintaining a five game win streak, are 12-3-2 overall and 8-1-1, tops in the league.
The Girls soccer team lost 0-3 against the Mustangs, but have had some good efforts during the season including notable play by Kaylee Case and Yamilet Saucedo, who were named players of the week in games against St. Bernard’s and Upper Lake, respectively.
Meanwhile, turning to volleyball, the Kelseyville Girls’ Volleyball team are moving deeper into the North Coast Section Girls Volleyball Championships with their five-set win over Arcata in the first round of Division 4 NCS playoff action.
