LAKEPORT>> Halloween revelers and trick or treaters lined up for two nights of spooky fun at That Ranch located at 4405 Thomas Drive in Lakeport. The pumpkin Patch provided the venue as Haunted Lake County, a volunteer based local nonprofit which has been hosting Halloween events around town annually, teamed up with the facility to provide a haunted corn maze called “Field of Fears” on Sunday October 29 and on Halloween night. According to Wayne Yahnke, who has been creating scary events since 2012, over 1,000 people attended Sunday’s event, so many that more volunteer actors had to be recruited for Tuesday’s maze experience. The proceeds from the event go to various organizations including Tango Mike, the Lakeport Volunteer Fire Fighters Assocation, Sponsoring Survivorship and SPCA of Lake County, among others.
