LAKEPORT>>> The Lake County Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Lake County Record-Bee, will host a series of candidate forums for three supervisorial seats slated to appear on the March 5, 2024 election ballot.

These forums aim to provide voters an opportunity to engage directly with candidates, learn about their vision for the future, and gain an understanding of their perspective on crucial issues.

Each candidate will have the opportunity to make an opening statement, answer questions from the designated moderator and the attendees, and finish with closing remarks.

The forums will take place from 6pm to 8pm in each of the three supervisorial districts. Tuesday’s forum can also be accessed via zoom:

JANUARY 9, Tuesday at 6 pm

• District 4:  Lakeport and surrounding areas

• Location:  City Hall Chambers in Lakeport

• Moderator:  Alan Flora, Clearlake City Manager

• Candidates:  Scott Barnett, Laura McAndrews Sammel, Brad Rasmussen, Chris Reed

JANUARY 10, WEDNESDAY at 6 pm

• District 5:  Kelseyville, Riviera Heights, Kelseyville Riviera, Cobb

• Location:  Kelseyville High School Student Center in Kelseyville

• Moderator:  Kevin Ingram, Lakeport City Manager

• Candidates: Jessica Pyska (incumbent) and Boone Bridges

JANUARY 31, WEDNESDAY at 6 pm

• District 1:  Middletown, Hidden Valley Lake, Lower Lake, southern portion of Clearlake • Location:  Calpine Visitor’s Center in Middletown

• Moderator:  Helena Welsh, Executive Director Lake County Winery Assoc.  • Candidates:  Bryan Pritchard, Bren Boyd, John Hess, Sean Millerick, Helen Owen

The public is invited to attend the January Supervisor Candidate Forums to actively participate in the democratic process. All forums are open to the public. Attendees will have the chance to submit questions to the moderator for the candidates. The events will be recorded and broadcasted.

The moderator and or presiding Government Affairs Committee members reserve the right to modify, consolidate, or reword questions in the interest of Ume and fairness to all candidates. This forum provides an opportunity to the community to ‘get to know’ the candidates.
