Lake County Association of Realtors’ endorsements
The Lake County Association of Realtors’ Local Candidate Recommendation Committee interviewed 10 of the 11 candidates for Supervisor in Districts 1, 4, and 5. After a thoughtful consideration of each of the candidates’ skills and knowledge of Lake County, the specific Districts, and what each candidate would bring to the position, the committee recommended a slate of endorsements to the board of directors of the Lake County Association of Realtors, which now endorses these candidates: John Hess for Supervisor of District 1; Brad Rasmussen for Supervisor of District 4; and Jessica Pyska for Supervisor of District 5. The committee thanks all of the candidates who took the time to answer our written questions and come in to talk to us in person.

Warming Center at Little Red School House opens in the aftermath of latest winter storms
The Warming Center at the Little Red School in Cobb made showers, bags of food, wi-fi, hot soup and lots of resources available to the community during the aftermath of the storms this weekend and during the ongoing power outages. The Mountain Lions Club & Cobb Community Center, Catholic Charities, Lake County Library, Lake County Behavioral Health Services, and the Clear Lake Gleaners Organization have all showed up in a big way to lend support to residents, as they have during previous emergencies. Crab Feed tickets are now on sale, these Mountain Lions work hard to support our community through thick and thin and proceeds from the fundraiser help with these community support efforts.
