The Lake County Civil Grand Jury in their most recent report (dated June 30, 2024) in an examination of the County of Lake's former contractor Oroville based Elijah House, concluded that "the Oversight obligations set forth in the contract between Lake County and Elijah House, and required by statute, were not met by the Lake County Behavioral Health or Continuum of Care, and resulted in approximately $200,000 in undocumented expenses."
