LOWER LAKE>>> The Lower Lake Trojans joined the other schools throughout Lake County and the region in anticipation of a brand new High School prep football season. On Tuesday, the players broke out their pads and helmets at their latest practice in anticipation of the new season and an August 29 non-league home game against the visiting Esparto High School Spartans. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Trojans will be looking to improve on their 3-7 record from a season ago. Despite a promising start which included a 30-22 home win over Esparto, Lower Lake lost their final seven games of 2024 including a heart-breaking overtime loss to St. Helena in the middle of the season. A new season means an opportunity to turn the page and to compete in the North Central I League. Photos Minenna Photography.
