Maura Fox

Maura Fox is a reporter at the Union-Tribune covering the neighborhoods and communities in the city of San Diego. She was previously a member of the Guides team, writing service journalism-style guides to everything from local history to mental health resources. Before joining the U-T, she was an editor at Outside magazine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and a freelance fact-checker and writer. Originally from San Diego, she earned her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara. In her free time, you'll find her rock climbing, hiking, performing improv or telling anyone who will listen about her cat, Cosgrove.
