Riley Gutiérrez McDermid is Assistant Managing Editor for News, helping guide the development of daily stories, working with teams across the newsroom to cultivate ideas and moving stories forward. Riley previously served as an associate editor leading the finance, business and tech teams at The Hill. Before that, she was a business and tech editor for Gannett at USA Today and a regional investigative editor for McClatchy. She’s edited or reported for the Financial Times, MarketWatch, the Wall Street Journal, The Street and American City Business Journals.
