George Norman McNab OBITUARY

George Norman McNab, 91, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025. Born July 29, 1933, in Oakland, CA. He was the eighth of twelve children born to Bertha Criswell and Paul McNab. He was preceded in death by his son, George Norman, Jr., six sisters and five brothers- He was the last surviving sibling. George was a proud patriot and Wartime Veteran, serving with the U.S. Air Force, during the Korean Conflict. Prior to moving to Clearlake, CA. in 2008, he spent most of his life residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. George was an avid outdoorsman most of his life- Enjoying camping, hunting, fishing and gardening. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, exceptional woodworking skills, green thumb and generosity. He is survived by two daughters, Shannon McNab and Beverley McNab, three grandchildren, Robert Stricklin, Genevieve Skultety and Jake McNab, great grandson, Cody Stricklin and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Two organizations George lovingly supported for decades.
