Pauline Berry Wilder OBITUARY
Pauline Berry Wilder OBITUARY
The family of Pauline Berry Wilder 77, regrets to announce her passing on April 15, 2025, in Palo Alto, California. Pauline was a beacon of hope, love, and positivity in the world. She was born on April 11, 1948, to Fred and Loverill Berry. As the youngest of two daughters, she grew up with a strong passion for sewing and creativity. While studying home economics at Brigham Young University, she met William Wilder, whom she married in 1970. They shared over five decades together, having three children: Jennifer, Jeffery, and Kristene. Pauline was a devoted mother and wife who filled her home with love and support for her family. She spent the early years of her children’s lives as a homemaker and full-time mom, sewing clothes for her children, volunteering at their schools, and devoting time to her faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When Pauline’s youngest child was a teenager, she returned to school and earned her master’s degree in special education, subsequently starting her career as a special education teacher. Her life’s joy was giving love to her own children as they grew up and helping her students in the latter part of her life. In her later years, Pauline enjoyed her four grandchildren: Jordin, Ashlen, Olivia, and Alister. Pauline lived happily with her husband and family until William passed away in October 2024 from Parkinson’s disease. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Scheidel and Kristene Wilder, her son Jeffery Wilder, her grandchildren Olivia, Ashlen, Jordin, and Alister, and her sister Marthine. Pauline always saw the positive side or hope in any situation. She accepted everyone and never judged. She was kind and warm-hearted, always willing to help before you could ask. The world is a little less bright with her gone. She will be greatly missed and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and hope. A memorial service is planned for June 21, 2025, from 1-5 PM at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Bottle Rock Road in Cobb.
